The Boston Celtics are heading to Atlanta tonight with a great deal of momentum. The Celtics have a 3-1 series lead over the Atlanta Hawks and just recently came off of a 101-79 victory on Sunday. The Celtics have won the last three games in the series but the Hawks are looking to try and simply stay alive in tonight’s game.
Boston’s Paul Pierce should be expected to stick in the game for a little longer than he has on Sunday’s game. Pierce sprained his knee before Sunday’s game and played for about half the time he usually gets. Pierce still had 24 points in seventeen minutes on Sunday, giving him an average of 23.3 points per game.
Kevin Garnett is also getting a double-double in the series with 17 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. He has experienced some foul trouble in a few of his games though. Garnett had four fouls in two games during the series.
Al Horford was active on Sunday’s game for Atlanta. He had played in only eleven games this year due to a chest injury and played in twenty minutes for the Hawks this past Sunday, scoring twelve points. Horford is expected to be active again tonight.
Josh Smith is also expected to be back to his normal playing time tonight. Smith missed the third game in the series with a knee injury. Smith is getting 17.7 points and 14.3 rebounds per game in the three games he has played in. Erick Dampier, who missed the first two games, will also be playing off the bench.
Atlanta has a very narrow online betting advantage primarily because they will be at home at the Philips Arena tonight. The Hawks have a -1 advantage and a -115 payout for their line. The Celtics have a -105 payout for simply winning the game. The game also has a 173 over/under. The over/under will have a -110 payout for any bet that is successful whether it goes over or under the line.
